Today's Weather Outlook
UPDATED 8:45 AM EST, November 4, 2009
By WeatherBug Meteorologist, Chad Merrill
A weak storm is pushing light rain and snow through the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest while a few drips and drabs will drift across the Sunshine State today. Otherwise, a benign pattern with sunshine and mild temperatures continues across the U.S.
WeatherBug Meteorologist Rachel Peterson has today`s forecast in this exclusive WeatherBug National Outlook Video.
Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Michigan`s Peninsula are seeing early rain and snow showers with Detroit in line to see chilly rain showers. A peppering of snow will remind everyone that winter is almost here. These light showers will scoot into the eastern Great Lakes just after sunset.
Early-morning sunshine will give way to increasing clouds and a threat for showers in central and southern Florida today. These showers will be just enough to make the grass a bit soggy before dissipating by dusk.
High pressure will serve up another delightful day for the remainder of the U.S. Early-morning frosty temperatures greeting the major metropolitan areas of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic will give way to highs near 60 degrees. Meanwhile, an afternoon full of sunshine will be found from Caribou, Maine, down to Atlanta and from St. Louis to Seattle.
The coolest weather will chill the Minnesota`s Arrowhead into the Great Lakes and northern New England where 30s and 40s will live on. Highs will be in the 50s in the central Plains and Northwest.
Outdoor temperatures today will favor short sleeves and shorts across the U.S.`s southern tier with highs zooming into the 70s and 80s.
